On Thursday, July 23rd at 7:05pm EDT, SoHo Shakespeare Company will present Black Arts Matter: A Celebration of Black Artists in America. Join us for a 90-minute cabaret, talkback, and fundraiser to elevate the voices of our Black community members . SoHo Shakes stands in full solidarity with the Black Lives Matter movement, and this will be the first installation of many events that will shine a light on BIPOC artists.
After the LIVE 60-min performance featuring local Black singers / musicians / slam poets / actors / artists, Chrystee Pharris (UMC’s Monogamy) will moderate a 30-min talkback with three Black celebrity panelists including Ted Lange Hope Giselle, and Jennifer Fouché. We will field questions from the Facebook LIVE comments section that focus on compassionate actions we can take to support Black artists in our community and keep moving forward together. All funds raised that night will be donated to True Colors United.
